Fat vs Slim_Study

Fat-vs-Slim_Study

Hi Matt,

I finally found a pack of references containing different body types! I am studying again: fat short guy vs. slim tall guy. This fat guy is not sumo like last time, and the other guy—I am not sure if I can call him a slim or skinny guy (are slim and skinny the same meaning?)—because he has little biceps, but the lats are small; he doesn’t look wide!

1- When you do the head-count method, do you measure the head from the chin to the top part of the skull as I did in  the fat guy? But in the slim tall guy he has a lot of hair, so I did it a little lower, or is it a skull and not hair at the top? And I did the head counts directly below the chin, but in the other slim guy the head is tilted, so I rotated over the body to be straight, and it goes down the body to the left leg! Is that correct?

2-I also did the perspective  ground plane on the feet where the far line is on the heels, so when the head counts meet the heel line, I calculate the head counts! And I tried to do the center of gravity line (Does it also mean a weight-bearing line?) in red because I hear it’s very important for the balance of the figure. Did I draw it correctly, just a straight line down the center of the head through the chin to the ground so the center of gravity of these two guys is on the left leg?

3-Regarding the rough skeleton, should the ribcage in the front view look like a fat guy meets the nipples? And the pelvis width is the same as the rib cage, as I drew a line below it.Is the greater trochanter correct? Does the ribcage size change if  the slim guy  gains weight and becomes fat like the fat guy, or does it stay the same so the skeleton changes?

Thanks alot

Nadim
