Hi Matt- trying out the acrylic on board technique since those are my favorite pieces of yours. My goal since I first saw them was to be able to do art like that. I had trouble figuring out if I bought the right kind of illustration board. These were Strathmore 500 20-ply multimedia. Cost about $5 each.

The acrylic is pretty easy to work with, dried crazy fast, and held up to the eraser (I erase about 20x  what you do). This is my second drawing on it, still in progress. The two light sources are tough.

I made the acrylic too spotty. The white parts in the acrylic make it hard to get values right. 
any other tips? I’ve watched your videos so I’ve learned a ton already.

 the YouTube sessions you’ve had this summer have been great btw.
