Hi, Matt, first one this year is a detail from a figure drawn in the sketchbook. Thanks for uploading new reference photos, I love drawing from these, both traditionallyand digitally.
Have started using mechanical pencils (Graphgear) of three different sizes 0.5-0.9 and lead hardness HB-2B in order to improve line variation and use of a wider range of thevalue scale, while still sticking to my favourite kind of ”always sharp” pencil. This is just a rather quick sketch, so it still only has very light values.
Looking forward to feedback on what works and what should be adjusted or should think about when I take it further to a long duration study state.
