    Hi Matt,

Just a quick question, I’m doing my second pass at the Understanding Form lesson and I’m laying down the tone trying to think about the surface planes. You mention in the topic video to keep your pencil on the paper again here & I wanted to ask if that’s what you’d consider best practice for going over and strengthening the line work as needed or for rendering as well?

Do you think there are times when it’s best to just employ a repeated down stroke or curved stroke from left to right for example without the up or back stroke on the paper or in most cases would you advise keeping the pencil on the paper for most rendering scenarios back and forth?

    Thanks,
    Owen

    Owen,

I’ll do my best to answer this in the weekly podcast.

    Matt
