I visited the Water Gallery at the Canadian Museum of Nature last week to gather some fresh photo references.
This is a study of a bronze model of a whale shark. I drew this a few days ago, and now I can see that I made an error in the placement of the gills. Also, I used the bristle brush quite a bit on this one, but I probably could have been more purposeful in using it to create a background tone or shape.
This one was fun to draw – nice lighting and surface texture.
Thanks for your critique!
