Tree tutorial – Jake

Hi Matt,

This is from the “How To Draw A Tree” tutorial, I wish I could have uploaded the finished drawing, I should have known how much time the leaves would take. Still have to add a lot more, as well as roots grass, bark texture etc. 

Also I’ve been doing more of the landscape tutorials and have been sketching outside a lot lately while the weather’s still nice. Drawing trees, waves, clouds, etc. this video cleared up a lot.

Oh also was wondering if you were familiar with Arthur Rackham? Very stylized but elaborate trees
