Skeleton Study from same artist

4-Skeleton-Fig_Study

Hi Matt,

These references are all from the same cartoon artist, but I don’t know why every time he draws the skeleton differently!

1- Could you please explain why he draws the ribcage and skeleton in different ways? And what are these differences? Do the discs resemble the pelvis without the sitting bones because they look short and there is a disc between them? Do they resemble the sacrum in the back?

(I wrote  my analysis in the reference photo; if you could read it, please, before answering!)

2. Could you please explain why he draws the curves of the arms and legs every time differently?

And how did he do it? And they should resemble the bones, not the muscles! Where’s the one that looks straight, not curvy like the muscles?

3. Why did most of the artists draw the patella between the two leg bones, the femur and tibia, in the middle where they meet instead of drawing it at the lower part of the femur where it belongs? or he did it correctly?

Thanks alot

Nadim
