Rock sketch – Jake

Hi Matt

Used 4b on newsprint today, I’d like to try again and spend a few more hours on it this week and would appreciate any advice for a longer drawing.

Correct me if I’m wrong but watching your landscape tutorials so far this semester or even the pickup trucks I feel like you’re able to capture the essence of water/grass/tree’s more by what you choose not to draw and by line rhythm/composition than by copying every exact detail.
