Rick’s figure drawing

Hi Matt-

I spent a couple days off and on, on this torso study. Really tried to focus on anatomy. Should I have avoided the white on the right side by the belly button? I know you recommend keeping the white chalk out of the shadow but in the reference it seemed light enough to me. 
reference is from a StudioGrafit reference pack. They have my favorite reference packs out there.
