This pencil drawing was not easy to photograph.
If you are not careful, the tonal values shift, some lines come out too strong.
Other areas are too light or there are stains.
Nonetheless, I like this drawing.
It took me three tries and some sub-studies to get a reasonably acceptable result.
It was very difficult for me to find the right angles and proportions.
Some lines are very difficult to see, such as the bridge of the nose,
the shape of the chin or the hairline that was in the shade.
Somehow I find it frustrating that you are looking at something and
still don’t really recognize how the lines or areas run.
There is still a lot of work ahead of me.
