the image on the left is the one we worked on the last two weeks during class. I started the one on the right because I wanted to pay closer attention to the position of the body and tweak some things that I got wrong in the first one (and also just use up the extra paint I was left with).
However, time was short and this is what I managed to come up with during our class. I now see that my figures are really small, more like 6 inches, so next time I will scale up. I also didn’t know how to take a better photo with all that glare.
That being said, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this class and the way you make working with oils seem less daunting for someone with next to zero experience. Trying to keep up with you helps me make so much more progress just because it sets a pace that doesn’t let me stop and think too much about what to do next.
