Mme Ditte 1667 by Zoran

Hello Matt,
This one done on sketchbook 6×9″ just to prove me wrong that I always use 11×14″ and up!
I did this drawing, while in hospital bed for a 5-6 days, and with limited supply: mechanical pencils of 0,5 mm (B) and 2,0 mm (2B) & rubber eraser. Not to think about about my leg…

Source image was intriguing to me and dramatic at the same time, it was from the book titled as “Master Drawings – The Wonder Collection” by Royal Academy of Arts, London 1987.
Mme Ditte – was drawn in 1667 by the Conte charcoal, so my value could not match the original print from the book, section of the “French school of drawing” by Ignace-Henry-Jean-Theodore Fantin-Latour artist.

Happy July 4th to you & family!

Zoran
