Male_Posterior View_Skeleton Study

Hi Matt,

I am doing this week the posterior view of the skeleton study.

 

1. Could you please check the skeleton to see if I did it correctly?

 

2. When I did the back view, I realized 2 main differences from the front view:

a- The first one in the ribcage, which the opening of it looks smaller and flatter, which in the front view looks bigger and sharper like an A-letter! Is there a reason for that? As I know, the ribcage protects the organs like the lungs and the heart! Why then is there this big opening only in the front?

b. The second difference is in this area between the ribcage and the pelvis that I marked in yellow color from the front; it looks curving outwards with a strong curve, and from the back it curves opposite inwards! Isn’t the same area there! Why do they look different? And why doesn’t this area have any bones? Don’t they need protection like lungs, heart, and pelvis? What are they supposed to protect then? Or am I thinking wrong?

 

3-Lastly what this oval thing that the model stands above? And I see it has an electric cable also? So it rotates? Or for another purpose?
