Ingres Watercolor Master Study Brian

Hi Matt – I did a drawing before class on Tuesday and painted during class using the white of the paper, burnt umber, and sepia. I went went pretty quick to get it done in time. I didn’t have a good strategy for the dress, also wanted her right chest to be much more luminous, and stopped playing with the face so I wouldn’t make matters worse. Proportions couls also be imporved. All in all, I still like the result. Not a good likeness, but she does look regal.
