Eggs Yingying

This is my first time uploading my drawing here. I’m from New Zealand. I just signed up for this tutorial. I’ve been doodling but I struggle with expressing my ideas with drawing. I am interested in learning to draw realistic figures. 

The problems I had when drawing these eggs were: (1) I couldn’t wrapped my head about how to describe the tonal differences of the shadows, the brown eggs, and the in-between; (2) I struggled with the empty space in the container; and (3) the shape of the container’s lid.
