Batman/Husband Drawing

This is my first drawing in about a year. I like to turn my husband into his favorite characters for our anniversary (last year was Thanos). 

This drawing was a challenge for me because I was using two different pictures  – one of Batman and one of my husband. I was trying to fit my husband’s face into Batman’s (which was tilted down a bit) and I think it made it seem off.  

There are many aspects I struggle with, but with this drawing I wasn’t able to capture the different textures the way I wanted with his suit and helmet. I’ve also always been a bit heavy handed with shading while not being able to get the dark areas dark enough without it looking shiny. I would like to get to the point where my drawings look realistic someday.
