Hi Matt. Since you talked about centerline last week, I did this exercise of drawing a cube around objects. Robert Beverly Hale also says that this is good practice so I thought why not give it a try. He explains in that lecture how to ride depth lines, height lines and width lines to get to another point.
- I first tried drawing a box around an existing cylinder and a sphere. Then I drew a box around Margot Robbie’s head. I’d like to know how you’d do it with the face.
- I’d also like to know if this process can be reduced to something quicker for a face or is doing this whole thing the way to go?
To give you some context, Hale said that the center of the Glabella to where the nose meets the mouth at the base, these two points form the vertical axis of the face. I based all of my calculations on this.
