I asked Stable Diffussion (the AI generative program I use) to give me an image of a poor hard working 17th century servant. It gave me endless images strikingly different. I chose one that looked somewhat like this one. I spent an afternoon correcting the anatomy, giving her body more shape, altering the lighting around her and adding more depth and more texture. Stable Diffusion gave me a starting point, but almost everything, from the silhouette to the final touches were done in Procreate. Artificial intelligence can give you ideas, but it cannot be an artist. Sometimes those ideas are the beginning point of very pleasing images.
Hey, is that not what Vermeer, Caravaggio and Norman Rockwell did?
