I like long duration drawings, but I seem to be stuck in this mode. Are there any techniques or tips that can get me “close” to the look of a long duration drawing and actually present something finished in a decent time period?

I’d like to help you. Can you expand on this a bit? Maybe you can upload your drawing to the critique gallery. I can talk to this in Monday’s Podcast. I just need a bit more context.

I would like to get a little faster at completing something I can share. I am looking for a practice routine that incorporates what you teach in the “getting started” course. It just my opinion, but I believe I would be more confident, accurate, and faster in my pencil strokes if I could practice each “basic” 100 times. Instead, I am starting a long drawing that incorporates all the techniques, but over a 4 hour drawing, I have only really practiced the outline, shading, seeing the shapes, negative space, etc. one time. I want to practice but, I want to share finished drawings as well. I hope that makes sense.

I will post what I have been working on before Monday.
