    Hi Matt,

I have noticed in the painting I am currently working on that there are “shadows” and then there are “reflections”. This may sound basic but I was staring at the painting thinking about how I was going to paint the shadows and then I realized that some of the areas I was assuming were shadows were actually reflections, not shadows. In my mind I had bunched them all together. This caught my eye as I had already painted in one of the reflections (shadow in my mind) and I noticed how much color I had to use to creat the relection accuratly. I had just never thought of it this way and I am wondering if you can talk about this? I feel like I missed something in the language of painting that describes – shadow vs reflection. Thank you Matt!
