    recording myself drawing was weird – felt like someone was watching me

    …not that i’m going to post it anywhere, but i tried it, looks ok.

    thanks again Matt for the pointers! I made some changes based on what you said

    As for the hair, i drew with brush that just makes lines then used a special brush called a smudge brush – except it is way more than a smudge – almost like water soluble graphite

    I agree with Nina, love your cross hatching. That is one of the things I love when you do sketches like this: the texture you add, and how you indicate all the planes just by varying your lines.

    I’ve somehow lost all motivation to draw for a few days. Might be work – very busy. Today i found an old book on my bookshelf for drawing nature. Forced myself to start drawing trees – the bottom right was where i started and finished with the spruce on the right.

    Its like i’m fighting myself to draw 🙂

    Marty, the screaming figure is amazing! What a lot of ‘reference images’ you must have floating around in your mind 😉
