    Hi Matt,
Could you talk a bit on the subject of being inspired by an artist?
At present, I have taken inspiration from van Gogh’s work while he lived in Nuenen (where I live now). I took a series of photo’s using traditional headwear he drew and painted, and I now started drawings in graphite and charcoal using these photos as a reference.
I do not want to copy van Gogh, I want to make my own artwork.
What is your vision on how to identify the aspects of an artist that inspire, and incorporate these into your own style/process/works?
    Thanks!
    Marjan

    Hi Marjan,

Great post and actually, I’m glad I missed it. I just wasn’t feeling great yesterday and would not have answered this question well enough.

I will definitely make a video this week and post it here at the site. Most likely on Thursday. This question will certainly help a lot of members here at DTO.

    Marjan,

Looks like I will be answering this in Monday’s podcast. The week definitely caught up with me.
