When is a sketchbook considered to be full? Should there be a drawing on every page of should on just one of each double page spread?

The good news is: you decide! 😉
My sketchbooks are a mix of drawings just on the right hand page and both pages really full. Depends on the subject matter: trying out a technique or composition or other practices usually fills pages to the brim. But I also have rendered tight sketches in there, which I protect from smudging by leaving the opposite page empty.

Listen to Monday night’s podcast. I’ve give you the same suggestions I provide to my undergrads.
