    Hello everyone,
I have a skull and want to practise drawing it to gain a better understanding for when I draw heads or portraits. Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to how this could be approached? Do I just draw it as a still life? Should I spiral out? Should I draw the general shape the add in the details? Has anybody had any advice they would be willing to share?
    Thanks for looking,
    David

    Hi David,

I would just draw it as a still life. You could also do some warm up drawing prior to life drawing it where you practice different techniques.

I really like using the angles when drawing the skull. It’s very angular in the front.

Spiraling out would be great when you draw it from life for a finished piece.

    Hope this helps,

    Matt
