    Hi Matt,
As you know, I love the col-erase tutorials and I know that you have mentioned that it is best to stick with one medium until you master it. However, I was wondering if you could do a small tutorial on how to use charcoal or hard pastel sticks to make some quicker studies with tone, like the portrait by Sargent that you show in the beginning of the APPLICATION video. I would like to learn more on how to make “quick” studies like that since the col-erase is limited to the layering and not getting as much darkness as you would like sometime. Just a suggestion! 🙂

ooh – I know I’m late chiming in here but I would love a tutorial like that also – or just one that focuses on very short studies in general as that is an area that I really struggle with and failed to see the importance of until recently
