Is it possible to pursued art without going to art school? How do you know when you’re ready to be a professional artist? What can you do as a professional artist, comic book artist, selling canvases, ect? How do you submit art to museums and galleries? I know with Esty, you can sell art on there. How much practice do you need to be professional?

Hi Shannon, I’m on the same boat as you. I never went to an art school, and this is what I do full time. I feel I’m almost ready after 1 year at DTO and plan to start selling in 2020. I would say just start by doing commissions for your friends and relatives, even if they are not paying much or any at all. That should give you some confidence. You probably even might have this experience already! I am also taking the coaching with Matt, which is my art school. DTO is also art school if you really double down and make your critique gallery submissions count. Really plan it out! Keep asking questions in the forums!
