Lately, I’ve noticed artists using realism and abstraction together, and I find it interesting. Artists like Vanessa Lemen and Tom Mead come to mind. If you wanted to try this technique, how would you start? Is this something that can even be learned or does it just come through experimentation and imagination?

There must be some standards when it comes to adding abstraction to realism – I just don’t know what they are or where to find out. Is it all about composition? I also don’t know if this would work for drawing or if it’s better left to painters.

    Hi Kimberly,

    Check out tonight’s podcast.
