Ok, participated in first critique this week. Think I will use my sketchbook to post what I take away to track progress

Loved the feedback… things I took away:

    – over blending graphite isn’t helpful
-seeing shadow shapes… Will dive more into this
    – use curves avoid straight lines

inspired to try silhouette after watching podcast. I did it in charcoal. It needs help but first attempt. Attempted to apply the ‘avoid straight lines’ concept

I was captivated by the intensity of his eyes and had to sketch him.

My little “studio”. The bank of windows overlook the water where there are extremely large birds and alligator sightings daily. 🙂

I started this drawing before DTO and felt stuck so I left it alone. after a month on DTO I was able to ‘see’ it and make some improvements. I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go but I’m seeing change in my drawing and perception evolve quickly.

Wow!! That’s a lot of improvement in a month!

I love your drawing of Mr. Whitebeard from May – it has a lot of appeal
